The Lychgates

“You are invited to a challenge of nerves and maneuvers in the ultimate dare! Race against your friends through a terrifying graveyard where roaming Spirits emerge from their resting place to hinder your every step. Make your way in harried haste through the misty maze of standing stones and decaying dead. Play your cards with care, speed your way past the creeping corpses, and be the first to escape the realm of wraiths through the Lychgates!” On a game board of 121 spaces, there are 4 starting points and 4 goals (the Lychgates). There are also five points on the board which will spawn “Spirits” as the game progresses. By playing from a hand of movement cards, each player is racing across the board to one of two designated goals. Each player also has six special move-enhancing cards that they can play when they wish, and once all six have been used they are refreshed to be used again. In addition, the players can control the Spirits to hinder their opponents, blocking their way to the goals. As soon as a Spirit is moved, a new one will spawn in its place. As the game goes on, the board becomes inhabited by as many as 25 roaming spirits to be dealt with. -description from designer
