Board Game
Quagmire
By Christopher Field (IV)
A race to stay afloat as the land gives away underfoot. Walk, run, and jump around the board to hamper the other team, but make sure to leave enough room for your own! Quagmire is an abstract strategy game for two players, played on a small hexagonal board. On their turn, a player moves one of their two meeples a short distance and destroys some of the board in the process. Meeple can jump small gaps, but eventually, through tactical movement and blocking, one player will run out of moves and lose the game. The game is intended to be an introduction to luckless, combinatorial games and to be accessible to young children. Thus the game has simple rules and plays very quickly. -description from designer
