Board Game
Pet Master
By Daniel Wong · Art by Olivia Wong
It’s finally here! A strategic card game that both kids and adults can enjoy. It’s a race to collect all 5 pets, but every round presents you with some intriguing real-life questions: Should I save or spend my money? What’s the value of waiting? But don’t be intimidated! It all boils down into a simple choice of 3 card types: coins, pets, and time. Each round opens with card drafting. Then each player takes turns playing their cards in an open-hand fashion. The cards represent 3 categories of resources. Coins increase your ability to buy. Time improves your bid to go first next round. Pets are collected to reserve the right to buy them. But when to buy them and at what price makes all the difference. This game incorporates various classic board game mechanics in a simple format that makes it accessible to players of all ages. The themes are intuitive and universal. Open-hand play gives adults the option to guide children. And the ability to read is not a pre-requisite to playing this game at its fullest. You'd be surprised at how strategic a 5-year-old can be! -description from designer
