In CLOVIS players represent hunter-gatherer bands of North America in 12,000 B.C. Players send out hunting parties to kill big game. This earns players points. Players may increase the numbers in their bands thus allowing them to kill more big game. There are specialty cards that modify the regular flow of things as well. The big game grow extinct as the game progresses. The game starts with 8 big game cards available in round 1 and only 1 big game card available for the final (8th) round.
