Tempus Imperium Aeternum
By Chris Anderson · Art by Robin Gibson
Tempus Imperium Aeternum is a solo game that works similarly to a roll and write. The difference is that you don’t need any dice. Instead, you will use the date and time to set up the map and determine your actions for the game. So all you need to play is a single page map, something to write with, and the date and time. In Tempus Imperium Aeternum you will start with a map full of resources and obstacles, you will need to build roads to connect to resources and build buildings. You must carefully weigh the cost of every action to defeat enemies and grow your empire while managing your economy. The date and time you use to set up the game will determine your assigned action for each turn, but you can always pay to use a different action. So a strong economy is important. Over 9 rounds you will build your empire, balancing the cost of every action against its potential gain. At the end of the game you’ll score points for the natural beauty of your empire, the majesty of your castles and how well you managed your economy and enemies. -description from designer
