Trail of 98
By Craig Pruett
Trail 98: A Historical Card Game of the Klondike Gold Rush. Half-a-dozen cards make up the playing board, and players use their cards (claims, goods, strike, hit, bonus, passage, provisions) to make their way from Seattle to Dawson and to lay down as many claims as possible. Player with the most claims wins. But you can put a hit card like Avalanche, to slow players down and it's likely you're run into a storm, sandbar, log jam or some other hit cards along the way. From the instruction book: "Welcome to the Klondike gold Rush of 1898! This card game takes players up the scenic Inside Passage from Seattle through historic Skagway and along the rugged Chilkoot Trail to Dawson, where they work the gold fields. along the way, players encounter difficulties of the trail, as well as some bonuses..."
