The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilized during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The boards and rulebooks act as a lid on top of the trays. The insert is arranged in two layers, with space on one side for the civilization and capital city mats. The building trays have two assembly variants depending upon whether you own snap on buildings.
