Hexian

HEXIAN is a 2-players shoot 'em up boardgame, inspired by the glorious retro arcade space shooters. Will you beat your opponent and reach a new High Score? You create a 6x4 grid with 24 alien invader ships and Flying Saucer above that moves to the right turn by turn. Below the attackers you place your defender ships for both players. You draw 4 cards each turn from the action card deck that you use to steer your ship left and right below the invaders, gain shields, fire lasers, place decoys, also to negatively influence your opponent, like pushing his ship away. When the last of the 24 alien ships is destroyed, the game is over and you score the alien ships that you shot down (different ships are worth different points). The player with the higher score wins. Keep track of the high score and try to beat it in the next game.
