Board Game
La Cigale et la Fourmi
By Gilles Monnet, Yves Hirschfeld
The game theme refers to a tale by La Fontaine: The grasshopper and the ant. Each player starts with his ant tile in one corner of the board designed as a 9 by 9 grid. On your turn, place one tile of your hand on the board to extend your route and advance your ant on it. Alternatively, with a grasshopper tile, you can block the route of an opponent. By paying a grain of wheat, you can deblock your route. By landing on a space with a grain of wheat, you collect it. The player with the most grains wins. —user summary
