Board Game
1988: Chirac contre Mitterrand
By Jean Gabe
In 1988: Chirac contre Mitterrand, each player embodies one of the two French presidential candidates. Each candidate will have to convince public opinion of three qualities expected of a future President of the Republic: charisma, courage and integrity. On each game turn, you draw three Event cards recalling significant current events from the first cohabitation (1986-1988). You will have to make a political choice associated with one of these events in order to influence public opinion. You will then put the other two cards back under your opponent's draw pile. But beware: while some of these choices are more effective, they also expose you to power drain. Abuse of it can result in a cruel and premature defeat!
