“Each player is an Architect in Rome during the Baroque Era 1600's. Players try to increase their own reputation at the expense of their Rivals. Victory: When the deck runs out a second time, the player with the most Reputation Points (RP) wins.” The game is played with a custom deck of cards which come in five types: Patrons, Commissions, Quality, Actions, and Events. The players score points by playing melds consisting of a Patron Card and a Commission Card. In addition, any number of Quality cards may be added to the meld to increase the number of Reputation Points received for the meld.
