1877: Stockholm Tramways

In 1872 Stockholm Tramway Company was founded with the ambition of constructing tramways in Stockholm. Having failed to do so the company was dissolved in 1874 only to be founded again two years later under the new name Stockholm New Tramway Company. The new company was successful and on July 10, 1877, the first horse-drawn carriage traversed the streets of Stockholm. The tramway era had begun. 1877: Stockholm Tramways is a game in the 18xx series set in Stockholm. The players are investors in tramway companies during the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century (1877 - 1966).
