CARU UTA (狩歌)

With CARU UTA (狩歌) as long as a song contains Japanese lyrics, you can start playing a game of Karuta. A whole new way to appreciate your favorite tunes. 1) Spread the word cards onto a table or flat surface so that they are easily visible by all players. 2) Play a J-pop song of your choice. Or sing it yourself.

 3) Be the quickest player to claim a word card that matches the lyrics of the song. Some word cards have a higher point value than others. Other cards and combinations will get you additional points. After three songs have been played, the player with the most points wins the game.
