Board Game
Dead Man Blues
By Robin Weber
In this game you play the role of a musician and aspiring bandleader: starting in New Orleans in the early days, then playing the clubs in Al Capone’s Chicago, and trying to hold a big band together in New York or the West Coast in the Swing era. Your aim is to be remembered, after you’ve gone, as the greatest jazz musician of all time. The game-play is mainly conducted through 3 types of Contract cards: Work - to earn money and reputation; Musicians - to grow your band; and Habits, which reduce your life expectancy. You can also compete with other players in Battle-of-the-Bands contests. When the game ends, everyone dies! The player with the highest posthumous reputation wins the game. —description from publisher
