I'm No Spartacus: Simple Gladiator Wargaming Rules
By Steve Thompson (II)
I’m No Spartacus is a set of simple wargames rules for teams of three gladiators to fight to the death in the Arena in Ancient Rome’s games. Players control a small group of gladiators with the intent of gaining the Emperor’s favour. The rules are played with cards and dice, using a simple mechanism to allow a free flowing and fast game, taking seconds to learn and years to master. A typical game will last around an hour, allowing for several games to be played on a normal club evening. Up to four teams can enter the arena but only one will be the winner. —description from the publisher's webpage
