The United States fractured into three countries in 2015: The United States of America (est. 2017), The Republic of Texas, and the Pacific Coast Conference. In 2019, Mexico provokes Japan into war by claiming ownership of the Pacific Ocean. The South American Union allies with Japan and they both invade Mexico. The Republic of Texas and the now-smaller USA also make land grabs in Mexico while trying to push Japan out. Meanwhile, everyone has a finger on their nuclear launch button. Sushi-Jalapeño War is a war game played with miniatures about four countries vying to control territory. The game is played in 8 rounds before the United Nations negotiates a cease fire (plus one, final, land-grab attempt by a country). From the back of the box [all typos as thus]: November 19, 2019, somewhere on the beaches of mexico “Por Favor, my general! but why for are the Japanese invading us?” “You species of an imbecile! cant you see that they are carrying the latest Nintendo Super 1640’s. Obviously they mean to pay us tribute.” On November 20th. 2019, Japanese forces capture Mexico City without firing a shot. Can a fragmented U.S. and the Republic of Texas stop Japanese and SAU aggression? Do you have the fortitude to use the bomb? Will the UN intervene on behalf of the PCC’s 20,000,000 members of the bar? From the Xeno Games, Summer & Fall 1997 catalog: Sushi Jalapeno War - First in “The Last American” Series of futuristic WW III, America under attack. Complete with fine detailed plastic playing pieces. Available now from most game and hobby stores. Similar to: Fortress America - SJW clearly borrows from FA but is more about land grabbing versus invading and overcoming a defender. Thus, while the mechanics look similar overall, the details in movement and combat, for example, are different and more chaotic. SJW territories are also approximately twice the size of FA territories, with no terrain details.
