Third Lebanon War
By Brian Train · Art by Brian Train, Ilya Kudriashov
"Third Lebanon War" is an operational level wargame on a hypothetical invasion of southern Lebanon by the Israeli Defence Forces some time in the near future. The context is that Israel has decided to mount an invasion of southern Lebanon to eliminate the threat posed by the continued presence and actions of the Hezbollah organization, but on a much larger and more destructive scale than the 2006 incursion. One player (the IDF) takes the role of the commander of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF); the other (the Insurgent) the role of the commander of the Hezbollah irregular forces. The Insurgent player may also receive units from other countries (Syria or Iran) if certain events occur to cause them to enter the game (players may also agree to have these additional forces in the mix from the beginning of the game, or not to include them at all). —description from introduction
