InFARMation

By Roger Kolikas

Your dad is a pretty amazing guy. He came out west during the gold rush and was one of the few that actually got rich! Now, he's nearing the end of his life and want's to choose the successor to the plantation he built. Dad isn't what anybody would call "normal" in any respect. So, when he decided to choose his successor using a contest of his own design, nobody was shocked. The rules are simple and the prize is becoming the head of the family. As the head of the family it will fall to you to ensure the plantation stays running and everyone stays fed. Dad wants you each to mimic what he did to become the man he is. So, you'll start with nothing but the clothes on your back and you'll have to gather resources to use/trade/sell in order to "build" each of the main plantation assets. Obviously these already exist, so you'll be paying dad a number of resources that he has estimated to be the value of each asset. Once you've "built" an asset, you can work it or assign your workers to work it and gain the resources and points for that asset. --- 1. Hunt, Gather & Fish for Food 1. Clean animals for Leather 1. Mine Stone for building 1. Mine Gold ore for trading 1. Use the Sawmill to make timber for building 1. Use the pigsty for food AND leather 1. Use the smelter to turn your ore into pure gold 1. Hire workers and assign them to work your assets 1. Bribe away workers from your siblings to gain an edge --- Dad says, if you want to win** You will have to work hard You will be smart You will be sneaky and shrewd You will use all of the inFARMation at hand to build your strategy and create the best plantation in the time allotted. ——description from the designer
