Trick Mr. Troll
By Jonathan Carnehl · Art by Jonathan Carnehl
The elves just spent a warm sunny morning catching fish, turtles, and frogs. They need to return to their village on the other side of the river, but grumpy Mr. Troll won’t let them cross the bridge unless they pay him a toll! The clever elves agree to give Mr. Troll some of what they caught, but only if he can guess what it is. Can they keep him guessing long enough to sneak across the bridge or will Mr. Troll take everything? In Trick Mr. Troll, 1-3 elves (usually children) work together to get across the bridge while Mr. Troll (usually a parent) tries to stop them. Every round, each elf hides a single fish, frog, or turtle token in their hand and Mr. Troll tries to guess what it is. If his guess is correct, Mr. Troll collects the token. If his guess is incorrect, the elf pawn moves across the bridge. Tension builds as each guess brings either the elves or Mr. Troll closer to victory! —description from the publisher
