Spell Clash

Two players represent wizard apprentices who have recovered 18 scrolls of parchment from an ancient tome. Along the edges of each scroll are engraved runes of power. Players will arrange scrolls from their hands such that runes align to form powerful incantations, which will score them prestige and, depending on the color and arrangement of the runes, grant them special magical abilities as well. The object for each apprentice is to demonstrate superior mastery of the arcane scrolls and thus prove their mettle as the most accomplished wizard. This game was developed as an entry for the ButtonShy September 2019 game design challenge- the restriction was that each of the 18 cards must be identical to one another. —description from the designer
