Board Game
Borgata
By Aaron Besmer, Dan Gough · Art by Dan Gough
Set in New York in the mid 1970s, Borgata challenges players to outwit their opponents, in order to become the most respected member of their family. A deck building game where players are able to recruit mobsters, purchase weapons, earn income, and bribe public officials in order to control a handful of businesses and boroughs. Players interact by attacking one another with the cards they have acquired. The goal is to gain respect cards, which are used to move up through the ranks. The game ends when one player does this and successfully becomes a mafia boss. Borgata is designed to encourage interaction and strategy. Players are often forced to work together in order to prevent a rival player from winning. —description from the publisher
