Board Game
Summons
By Markus Hagenauer · Art by Stefan Kolmsperger
Roman Empire 1 CE Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken in the entire Roman world. This was to aid military conscription and tax collection. Everyone was summoned to their home town to register and be counted. For many this involved a long and difficult trip. Luckily, they were able to gain encouragement and support from others making the journey. Use both your own and the other players’ people so that your people can race home by moving as often as possible each turn. Move your people tiles forward on a 8 x 8 square board depending on the numbers on the tiles in line with the last tile that moved. A skillful player can get a large number of moves on his turn by moving a low number tile first and aligning the successive tiles well.
