Board Game
Mining Maniac
By Andrea Tsang · Art by Chung Fong, Vincent Tang
Each player is the Chief Executive Officer of their own mining corporation, entrusted with singular goal of maximizing annual profit. The rules are simple; strategically task your personnel with their varying strengths and limitations to adapt to changing market situations, out thinking the competition, buffer threats of sabotage and crisis, all while preserving the bottom line. In each round, the prices for minerals shift. Then each player picks a character that they want to use this round. After everyone has got a character card, an unexpected incident card is revealed. This incident could ruin a player's original plan of his selected character's power. Lastly, players take their turn according to the turn number written on their character cards, and perform 2 of the 3 possible actions: hire worker(s), mine from the map, or sell the commodities. The player with most money after 12 rounds wins the game.
