Depths of Courage: The H.L. Hunley's Attack, February 17, 1864
By Paul Rohrbaugh · Art by Mark Mahaffey
The H.L. Hunley's Attack, February 17, 1864. LPS / ATO minigame from 2014. Released as a sheet of paper (half board, half rules) and counters. A solo game where the player is the captain of the Hunley, the Confederate Submarine that saw action off Charleston, South Carolina, in 1864. The goal of the game is to leave port, sink a blockading Union ship, and then return to port, without being sunk yourself. Uses a die roll to make checks (modified by the result of a card flip and the state of various elements on the board) that determine the status of the journey and attack.
