The Defence of Pictland

The Defence of Pictland plays out a battle between Northumbrian warriors aiming to expand their Kingdom northwards into Pictland in the seventh century. The Picts however are more than ready to defend their land and meet up with their enemy in a boggy valley. Movement and capture differ on dry land (knight's move and replacement) and in the bog (orthogonal and custodial). Winner captures all opposing men. Leather board and wooden gaming pieces.
