Road to the Palace

Once upon a time, there was an old kingdom, where executives manipulated complicated relationships in order to gain fame and fortune. The players are these executives; the goal of the game earning as much influence in the royal palace as possible, all the while downing the rivals. Character cards are lined up in a 3 x 4 grid. Players take turns gaining one of these cards each, combined with a so-called "mission disc". After each player has taken a card, discs and possibly cards are refilled, and the next player chooses a card to take. When the round is finished, players earn points for the discs of the colours of which he has the most influence, and penalty points for certain others. Game goes on for two rounds, and the player with the most points at the end wins. The game was published with the English title on the box as 'Road To the Place'. This was a typo, it should have been Road To the Palace. user summary
