Mafia: Death and Deception
By Blake Hasenmiller · Art by Chazse Goddard
Mafia: Death and Deception is a game of an uninformed majority versus an informed minority. It involves two randomly selected teams of players: The Civilians and the Mafia, both of which are racing to kill one another. The catch is, the civilians don’t know who their enemies are. Through arguing, accusations, and heated debate, players attempt to figure out who is a member of the mafia, and eventually vote to execute each other. The members of the mafia, meanwhile, try to lie and deceive their way to safety while secretly killing civilians in the meantime. • Features 22 optional roles to add skill and complexity • Includes non-allegiance-specific roles known as “traits” • Thousands of possibilities, so every game is different
