Operation Goodwood
By Jean-Philippe Liardet · Art by Stéphane Morhain
(from the editor website:) Goodwood 1944 covers the British Offensive against the German Defense in the Caen sector. If Montgomery achieves its objectives, the Allies win the Battle of Normandy. Goodwood 1944 is a game for two players, one player assumes the role of the commander of the German forces, and the other player assumes the role of the commander of the Commonwealth forces. The game map represents the areas over which the balle was actually fought. Each hex is 1 km across. It uses playing pieces that represent the actual military units that participated in the campaign. The German units represent companies and battalions. The British units are mostly battalions. Each turn represent 1 hour and half of real time. Scale : - 1 counter = company to battalion - 1 hex = 1 km - 1 turn = 1 hour and half
