Ninja Chess
By Yoshihisa Itsubaki
Your goal in Ninja Chess is the same as in regular Chess: Capture the opponent's king in order to win. The differences between the games include a smaller playing area, fewer pieces, and the inability to castle. The game has a historical Japanese theme, and players start with a Tonosama (King), an Okugata (Queen), a Samurai (Rook), a Ninja (Knight), and some Ashigaru (pawns), with the pieces being pretty detailed plastic pawns mounted on small bases.
