The Road to St. Die: France, October 1944
By Chris Harding (I) · Art by Chris Harding (I), José Ramón Faura
The Road to St Die is a company/battalion level simulation of those battles in October 1944. Players control the various German and American forces which took part. The American player must coordinate their three divisions to penetrate the front lines of the Germans and drive towards St. Die. The German player must coordinate their forces to slow the American drive and maintain the integrity of their front line, while preserving their forces and preventing the American from achieving their geographical objectives. The system is an evolution of the "Korps" system with variable turn order and more tactical differentiation to deal with late war units and equipment.
