Foursomes Competition

Each guest receives a card showing 16 squares per question. The four middle squares are blacked out, leaving 4 squares at the perimiter all the way round. Now guests must answer the clues and place the answer into the grid, either across or down. Once you have found one answer and the right place to put it, another answer will begin or end with the letters that are in their column or line. See image for clarification.
