Board Game

Jonnakas Jott

By Lehte Hainsalu · Art by Piret Tagel

The game was published in 2005 as a part of a local educational program called "Mina Ise" (I myself). The game consists of 45 different cards, where there are 22 card pairs, where each pair has a regular (local Estonian, non-foregin) letters and J letter as being a part vowel and part consonant alone, making it to be 45 cards. Each card pair has something drawn on it, either a living thing or some item. Under the picture there are a word and under a word a sentence to use the word in. Trick is the correct "kääne" (word ending). Scoring has multiple possibilities. Variant 1: Naming the thing on the picture and the letter it begins with scores you the card. 10 cards wins the game. Variant 2: Each word has parts of it different colored, while yellow part is 1 point, red part 3 points and blue part 5 points. 35 points and you win the game.
