The Battle of Mollwitz: April 10, 1741
By Christopher Salander · Art by Christopher Salander, Yves Roig
From the publisher: The Battle of Mollwitz, April 10, 1741, was the first field battle between the Austrians and the Prussians in what the Prussians called the First Silesian War. While the Austrian Empire was in the throes of a succession crisis and was threatened by other countries, "Frederick the Great" (Friedrich II of Prussia) seized the Austrian province of Silesia. When the Austrians did react, they placed an army between Frederick and Prussia. Frederick turned and approached the Austrians in a snow storm. He had to defeat the Austrian army to re-establish his lines of communication. Comment: Battle of Mollwitz is a free beginner-level desktop-published (DTP) game by Chris Salander published by online boardgaming magazine The Boardgaming Life. The game comes in a PDF file comprising rules, map and 24 counters.
