By (Uncredited)
Hemskyddsspelet ("Home Defence Game") was designed by Riksluftsskyddsförbundet ("Swedish National Air Defence Association") during the 1930s. The purpose of the game was to combine business with pleasure - let people learn about national war preparedness and community home defence while having fun. The game is played on a coloured square board with several stacks of event cards. It include elements such as bomb shelters and hospitals, with dud bombs that can block parts of the board. The first "Home Defender" to reach the goal is the winner.
